New Car Manager

Automotive Talent Partners is recruiting a New Car Manager in Reading, Berkshire.

You will lead new-car sales activity and support the team throughout the enquiry, order and delivery process. The role combines people management with close attention to the sales pipeline, accurate customer communication and the performance of the new-car department.

Basic salary of £35,000, with on-target earnings of £60,000.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the new-car sales team against agreed objectives.
• Review enquiries, appointments, orders and expected deliveries.
• Coach colleagues on product presentation, customer follow-up and sales progression.
• Monitor available stock and orders, keeping the team informed of delivery progress.
• Support customer negotiations and help resolve issues throughout the sales process.
• Coordinate with administration and preparation teams to support accurate, timely handovers.
• Review sales performance and customer feedback to identify improvements.

• Relevant automotive sales leadership or sales management experience.
• Understanding of new-car sales processes and order-to-delivery coordination.
• The ability to coach colleagues and organise team activity.
• Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail in sales administration.
