Used Car Manager

Automotive Talent Partners is recruiting a Used Car Manager in Exeter, Devon.

You will take responsibility for the used-car sales operation, bringing together stock management, team leadership and customer service. The role involves keeping vehicles prepared and competitively presented, helping the sales team progress enquiries and monitoring the department's commercial performance.

Basic salary of £35,000, with on-target earnings of £60,000.

Key responsibilities

• Lead used-car sales activity and support the team against agreed targets.
• Monitor stock levels, vehicle ageing and preparation times.
• Review pricing and support vehicle appraisals and part-exchange valuations.
• Maintain clear, accurate vehicle listings and presentation standards.
• Support sales colleagues with customer enquiries, negotiations and deal progression.
• Coordinate with preparation and aftersales teams to keep deliveries on track.
• Review stock turn, sales conversion and profitability, taking action where improvements are needed.

• Experience in automotive sales management, sales control or used-car retail operations.
• A practical understanding of vehicle valuations, market pricing and stock management.
• Confident team leadership and communication skills.
• Strong planning, organisation and commercial awareness.
• A consistent focus on accurate administration and customer service.
